BK City Stay

After the terrible fire at the Architecture faculty in 2008, the current location was readied for use as temporary accommodation exceedingly quickly. It proved so amenable that it was decided to prepare the building as the faculty’s permanent location under the project name BK City Stay [bouwkunde = architecture] .

Interventions were required to this end so that the building once again meets current requirements and wishes. Backlogged maintenance has been carried out, the building’s insulation has been improved and its systems have been dealt with. Old classrooms have become advanced studios and the empty courtyards have been transformed into covered spaces for lectures, presentations and a modelling shop. BK City is now a reality.
